here’s another little video to unveil this EVSTIIS phenomenon to you all a bit further. this song is a strange one, even for this project. blasting, furious, primal stupidity… a bit ov strange magick that can neither be born nor killed. is it a mockery ov black metal? is it the work ov two who would abandon all pretense ov “skill” and “good taste” to let the lycanthropic rebel yell loose? we can’t really be sure. it’s called “Perception Never” and that about sums it up.

that’s right. resurrected and zombified for your infernal, devil metal delight, THEE KVLT OV OUROBOROS is back with brand new material, all recorded solo by founding member, myself, that dude Myk, aka B.Baphomet. fuck it, i can’t wait around for anyone else to help me get these ideas done. i had to go and record everydamnthing by my lonesome. i just mic’ed up the drums and laid ‘em down into a stereo track in garageband, and then multitracked all the bass riffs, and then guitar leads and vocals, and my demon is exorcised. so now you have two new tracks to let fest upon your soul…

1. OBLIVION MARCH – a rolling, death metal bootyshake fistbanger, with a crushing swoop and a call to embrace the swift decay. totally necrodudial.

FOREST OV THEE GØATICORN – a song written awhile ago, given the epic doom crawl makeover, and the riff ov mighty challenge has been met. heavier than thou with added lead guitar destruction to make your soul ache and evoke the old school doom metal masters. “FEEL YOUR SOUL ROT… IN THIS PLACE WHERE YOU DIE…” necrodudial as fuck.

it has been a minute since i have updated this blog, but i am here to let you know that all is well, and there is much SataniK goodness in store for you.

right now, i am proud to introduce the release ov HOT GRAVES’ “Goatshed Deathrash Annihilation: Rehearsal Shed Demo 2008″ in CDR format, complete with printed covers and protective resealable plastic bag packaging. 11 doom-beat hymns ov hell, over 10 tracks, with the brand new demo songs “I CLAIM YOUR BLOOD (in the night)” and “F.O.A.D.” being compiled on a single, final track. the recording on this release is in some ways inferior to the D-BEAT DEATH DIRGE Demo (harsher, more raw and stripped down), but to some people that will be the way it is superior to the same release. i know i like it better, truth be told. it’s just more vicious, plus it has Dustin’s guitar solos on “Draining The Life”, “What Do I Get?”, and “Metalblaster”. features songs from the D-BEAT DEATH DIRGE DEMO re-recorded as they are played now, after months ov fine tuning and rehearsing for optimum deathpunch. total barbaric and bestial. another tombstone to lay your woes upon. fuck yeah.

fuckin’ zombies dude, what? so HOT GRAVES has a new guitar player: DUSTY GRAVES, aka Dustin from By The Horns. he’s signed on for the Zombie Doom Punk Thrash Patrol as gunslinger general, so let’s all be thankful for that, eh? shredditude times two. awesome. also, HOT GRAVES has been offered a spot on a 4-way split cassette release ov mega thrash proportions. not sure what label will put it out, but SATANIK will have copies for sure, and the other bands to be featured on this venture would be Street Force, Infernal Stronghold, and Hate Kommand , which are all worthy folks you should google right fucking now. that is, if you like to bang your FUCKING head. which you should, if you’re looking at this website.

anyways, HOT GRAVES will be getting tracks together for that split release, and a demo CD-R on SataniK coming in the early part ov the new year. you can also expect some shows around that time, and some killer cover songs for fun cropping up here and there. keep yr eyes/ears open….

THEE/KVLT/RECORDING/INFORMATION/THING.

WELL. another successful venture to the recording studio environment. i got down to orlando to T-Jerks house and got right down to business putting down bass guitar tracks all over the fuckin’ place… until ol’ T-Dvb showed his happy ass up, with Melissa in tow. we got down to business and tom laid down some ov the sickest vocals i’ve EVER heard him do. his performances on SERPENTINE HAIKU, AURA OV FLAME, and the two new ones are especially bestial and raw, but every song came out amazing. he really put it the fuck down. the new song “THRASH BANDICOOT” (working title) is complete now; vocals, guitar solo and all. we got some stellar new lyrics from our grizzly grape bassist, Jamie Oulman, and put em right to work on the new jams. GOOD JOB GUYS. i mean seriously, Tom did two brand new songs he’d never even really heard played together the whole way thru, not to mention it was the first time he’d seen the lyrics to the songs too.

surprisingly, this is the first time we’ve recorded (or done any major band activity) where tom hasn’t suffered an attack from the “GIGGLE DEMON”, which seizes control ov his soul and makes him convulsively laugh like a hyena on CRACK COCAINE for a good 15 minutes at a time. it’s a hoot and a holler to behold, but it looks like it might be pretty uncomfortable to endure.

also notable to this session: TJ and I hipping each other to new forms ov fabulous ghetto music. this time he put me on to that new “Crunch and Munch” by Mike Jones which is literally a Crunch and Munch commercial, using it’s post-marijuana consumption benefits as it’s strongest selling point. also, he put me on to the ridiculous “I’m So Hood” video which i’m not even gonna explain, you should just search it out on youtube. that is if you wanna see some amazingly ignorant ghetto shit (which i do from time to time).

we didn’t drink near as much beer (or whiskey) this time around. i guess that’s cuz Chris wasn’t there. HA! but yeah, we kept it pretty mellow, save for the amazing cannabis intake we managed to throw down. all in a day’s work. but seriously, i played my ass off, whipped out an amazing guitar solo that surprised even me, and managed to rip out a bunch ov gnarly vocal tracks as well. and THEN we did a quick mixdown ov everything so as i could have a CD to bump on the ride home. i’d say that’s pretty good for being there from 2pm to Midnight.

so the album is nearing completion, and it’s coming out KILLER. i might redo some vocal tracks, add a bit more guitar, and record all my moog tracks, and then we’ll be ready to mix this fucker. i don’t have any pictures from the studio this time either, cuz i always fuckin’ forget. but whatever. you should just be stoked that i’m telling you about it at all, right?

process/production

* this CD contains just under 1 hour ov heavy bass/drum/vocal tsunami.
* all tracks were recorded live to cassette tape thru our PA head @ our warehouse, pre-mixed to the best ov our stoned/drunk ability.
* tracks 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, and 10 were recorded live with all 4 ov us playing as we do live. the rest were recorded minus T-DVB by the band.
* the “meditation” tracks were conceived and recorded on the spot, never much performed again, and are presented as the were played. troo improv… with overdubs. CRVSHED LVNG has overdubbed Moog sub bass and vocals, SHITT DISTVRBER has overdubbed vocals and guitar solo, all by Myk. SMOKEFØGG is just as it was laid to tape.
* there is gnarly Moog bass underneath the first track as well. turn it up LOUD..
* backing vocals were overdubbed on 2, 4, 8, and 10 by Myk. lead vocals were overdubbed on 5 and 7 by T-DVB, because the original taped vocals weren’t quite loud enough.
* there’s a bunch ov little bits ov warehouse chatter left at the end ov some songs where something funny happened, and even a few samples to intro songs and thangs.
* the packaging is printed cardstock, folded in half, with a self-adhesive CD tray thingy in there to hold the CD in place, all placed in a hermetically sealed bag, with a NECRODVDIAL trading card. pretty sweet. big thanks to ANDREW IRONING/HYMNS for hooking up the supplies on short notice. i owe you yet again, big brother.

i have begun compiling tracks and putting together artwork for a compilation CDR release for SataniK which will be titled “RIDIN’ DIRTY FOR THE DEVIL”, and it will feature tracks from SataniK cohorts THEE KVLT OV OUROBOROS, BY THE HORNS, B.BAPHOMET, HOT GRAVES, GRAIL ov thee GOAT, EVSTIIS, and a few others i can’t confirm just yet, like. but it’s gonna be a great mix ov styles and sounds, and it will make all form ov headbanger happy with hellish humdingery. should be together sooner than later.

also, i will be putting out a limited CDR version ov the BY THE HORNS album which was recorded a few months ago in a very nice studio environment. the album is to be titled “DESTROY THE HORIZON” and it features the patented BY THE HORNS blend ov Melodic Death, Black Metal, ripping Thrash rhythms that create hymns to the destruction ov life, the universe, and everything. it will be available thru this site, the band’s myspace, and at live rituals.  For fans ov early At The Gates, Dissection, Watain, and Iron Maiden.  for real.
